Wandering

[Nikolas Shadows]

Nikolas was alone. The night had just begun, and he was wandering through the woods. He did not feel like calling Salizar, not this night. He preferred to be alone this night, left in the thought and memories tumbling through his mind.

[Lilah Rose]

Lilah had decided to take a walk tonight. She had her self hidden in her shadows as she walked through the dark forest. Her green eyes scanned the forest when she heard someone else walking. She made sure she was well hidden in her shadows when she saw Nikolas walking. She quieted her breathing and stood next to a tree.

[Nikolas Shadows]

Nikolas stopped walking. He could feel another presence. A girl, a teenager. She was alone, just what he needed.
"Why are you alone, young one? You should know better than to be alone, in the forest, at night. Dark things walk the forest at night, things that you do not want to be around," Nikolas hissed as he walked back around to where he sensed the girl.

[Lilah Rose]

"I love the night, and the forest. I will walk when I please, Nikolas." Lilah had heard Nikolas, was bad, very bad, but she was not going to let him mess with her. Her green eyes foucused on him. She moved around him, maneuvering her way around each step he took. Leaving him a step away from her at all times. Lilah was still hidden, But she made shadows of her self all around Nikolas, so he would get confused as to where she was, because she knew he knew where she was at, but why not make it a bit difficult for him.

[Nikolas Shadows]

"You will not stop me, little one. I know your past, I know what will hurt you. And no illusion will stop me from getting the pain from you," he said as he stalked towards her. He brought up two shadows, the spirits of her long dead parents.

[Lilah Rose]

"You do not know me that well, Nikolas. Yes, I miss my parents, but showing me them, will not cause me enough pain for you. Yes, it hurts, but I have had time to heal. To accept that they were gone. To not care if you did this." Lilah smiled. Her five year depression had payed off. She couldn't give Nikolas pleasure in her pain. Although, her heart did ache slightly, but not enough. She had been to young for her parents death to impact her enough. Lilah wouldn't let Nikolas win.

Nikolas hissed in disappointment. His mind raced, trying to come up with something to hurt her, but he couldn't think of anything.

[Lilah Rose]

Lilah smiled, although he couldn't see it. "Come on Nikolas. Cause me pain, go ahead. But the pain will not last forever. It will end, and I will go on with my life. Pain comes and goes. Tragedy is always waiting to destroy you. But I will not let it destroy me. Five years of my childhood had been wasted in depression, but no more will. I am stronger than you. You need others pain to keep going. You can't just except that everybody suffers pain. You think you are the only one who has suffered. you are not." Lilah felt wise. She had always been able to reason. Her parentrs death had given her a different outlook on life, on the world.

[Nikolas Shadows]

Nikolas did not say anythingl. His mind raced. There had to be something that would cause her pain, something that would cause her unbearable torment. She was just saying those things, trying to get him to leave. He knew others felt pain, but nothing like he did. No one knew how much he had suffered, how much he had hurt.

[Lilah Rose]

Lilah laughed. She even revealed herself. "Nikolas, you are weak. Pathetic. You torment people, just to make yourself feel better. Well, I will not let you do that to me. I am strong. I have dealt with pain of my own." Lilah sat down next to a tree, and waited to see what Nikolas would do next.

[Nikolas Shadows]

"I am stronger. No once can hurt me. It will stay like that too," Nikolas said. He turned and started to walk away, hoping to find someone easier to break down.

[Lilah Rose]

"You are not stronger. You think you are, because you attack the weak. And always win. Where does that get you in life? Hated, alone, still miserable. Making others feel pain will not make yours go away. Yes, you'll forget about it, but it will always creep back on you. You have to remove the pain yourself. For me, I had to learn to let go. To deal with what had happened. Now, I don't know what has happened to you, so I don't know how you could make it go away. But making others suffer is not it. Because if it was, your pain would be gone, now wouldn't? And, yes, I can be hurt, but walking away from the pain, and not letting it bother you makes you stronger." Lilah stood up, and hid herself in her shadows. She quickly ran infront of Nikolas blocking his path. She took her shadows away, and her green eyes looked into his eyes. Her black hair shined under the moonlight, and her skin glowed. "Stop making others suffer. It gets you nowhere.." Lilah whispered. She wanted to help him. To be there for him. "Maybe your problem is that you have been alone. Alone when you needed somebody most. I know how that is. Feeling lost, and alone. Like nobody cares if you you are alive or dead. Maybe all you need is a friend. Just one....." Lilah siad softly. She knew he would reject her. He didn't want a friend. All he wanted to do was cause people pain. And she was just wasting her time...

[Nikolas Shadows]

"I do not need a friend . Friends are for the weak, I don't need anyone else. I can survive on my own just fine. I can handle myself, I do not need someone else to help me," Nikolas said in disdain. He turned and started to walk the other way.

[Lilah Rose]

"Okay. Since friends are for the weak. Live your life alone, in pain, trying to make it go away, because trust me Nikolas, your pain will never go away. You can be alone all you want. And I can't stop you. But you think about what you just rejected. Everytime you make somebody suffer, and then your pain creeps back on you, everytime you feel alone, and miserable, just remember, you caused yourself that." Lilah stepped out of Nikolas's way, knowing that he was going to be ignorant and keep walking no matter what she said.

[Nikolas Shadows]

"Friends are a weakness, they'll only slow me down. I can make my pain disappear myself, I do not need the help of a weak little girl," Nikolas said. He continued walking, not looking back to see her reaction.
