Raphael noticed that it was getting darker quickly, he hurried his pace a little and kept walking straight for camp. He had a worried expression that it might be after dark until they reached camp. "Come now little princess, we must hurry, after dark it is not our place to be in the forest. It becomes the others domain when the sun can't be seen over the horizon." Raphael had picked up Saphirra now and was running now, back to camp.

Saphirra was shocked when Rapheal picked her up, but she new why he was fearful. The Tribe Of Day and the Tribe Of Night were in a war, and there could be grave consequences if they were caught during the night in the Forest..

Raphael ran. The very peak of the sun was just about to go down. Raphael tried to push back the realization that they weren't going to make it. He ran never the less, making light appear in front of them as they ran. Raphael looked in horror as the sun disappeared, he knew he only had moments left before the demons came out. Raphael stopped, and gently put down Saphirra. "Run Princess, Run with all the speed that your legs have! No matter what you might hear, no matter what you might think you hear, keep running and don't look back!" Raphael yelled.

Saphirra hesitated for a moment but she knew Raphael wanted her gone, urgently so she turned around to run, but tripped on a tree root. She looked up at him with an expression of fear, because she had a feeling that her chance of getting out of there was gone...

Raphael fell to his knees. He knew that any chance at control was over. He knelt down as he felt all the demons inside him escape. All the memories of his wife's death, all the pain he had felt in that one moment over came his body and clouded his vision. Something else controlled his body, and he could only sit and watch. In almost a whisper to himself "What is this? A little girl has fallen?" He said with a little laugh in his voice. Now a little louder, "Little girl, being out in the forest at night is not advisable, there are demons that walk these woods, and you seem to be without protection." A blinding light shown in between Seven Aces and Saphirra. It placed shadows all around, and Seven Aces soon became just another one of them.

Saphirra was in shock. Her copper eyes were opened wide and her mouth was opened, trying to find words to say. "What are you tal-talking about Raphael? I-I am here with you. What's going on Raphael?" Saphirra started to plead. She was scared, and completly helpless, for the night had drained her powers.

The look on Saphirra's face hit Raphael. Hard. It was the same expression his wife had when, she died. Seven Aces loved it. Seven Aces was feeding of the fear and hatred Raphael had for him. "Aw, is my poor little traveler scared?" Seven Aces was now standing in front of Saphirra, a huge smug look on his face. "If you are to be a good adventurer you're going to have to learn courage my young warrior." Raphael stood still, the light showed brighter and brighter behind him, so as to blur him from Saphirra's vision. "Remember young Saphirra, death is a tragic thing, and you shouldn't have to witness it." Seven Aces said, with a smile on his face.

Saphirra was confused and terrified. She didn't know what had happened to Raphael. But she did know that she wasn't safe. She had to try to make her powers work, or else she was doomed. She closed her copper eyes, and thought about Akela. She was trying to call Akela here, to help her.... She also concentrated on making vines appear, but it was difficult, for she was very weak and scared right now. She had just enough power to get two vines, one for each hand. She stood up, and looked straight into Raphael's eyes, showing him that she wasn't afraid. Akela ran in and stood beside Saphirra, with a look of protection and anger in his chocolate brown eyes.

Zarya was walking quickly, cursing herself for being late. She had stayed by her brook for too long and had lost track of time. She knew she would be in major trouble when she got back to the tribe, but she didn't care. She saw a bright light off to her right and decided to investigate. She saw the scene between the other two unfold and waited to see if the girl could call on her powers. She could, but it was weak. It seemed she would need Zarya's help. Zarya stepped out to face the guy, her gold eyes shining bright. She held her hands in front of her, water forming a sphere in her hands. "Let the young child go, she has done no harm to you. She is innocent, and you shall not harm her," Zarya said with condfidence.

"Hmm?" Seven Aces said with a large grin as he turned to look at the newcomer. "Well, well, well, looks like another adventurer has lost her way," the light moved around now, and was once again placing shadows around the forest. "The forest at night is no place for a young girl like yourself. You'll only find trouble out here," Seven Aces said, with his voice echoing around the forest, and a slight laugh could be heard.

Saphirra looked over at Zarya and then back to Raphael. "What has happened to you, Raphael?" Saphirra asked in a quiet voice. The wind whipped her light brown hair, and her confused, copper eyes looked straight into Raphael eyes. Saphirra looked over at Zarya, "This is Raphael," She paused, "We were in my meadow earlier and left a little too late. As we were heading back, the sun dissapeared, and then this happened to Raphael. I don't know what happened, but I know this isn't Raphael." Saphirra closed her copper eyes for a moment and then opened them back up.

"No...I believe he has been taken over by demons. Child, I believe you are not in the best position right now. Demons are not fun to mess with," Zarya said quietly, her mind flashing back to when she was told her parents had been killed by shadow elementals. "Now, now, my dear friend, why have the demons over taken you? Surely you can fight them off, if this is not you. It is your life, command them to leave!" Zarya said confidently, water rolling across her arms.

Seven Aces shuddered. He fell to his knees, with light coming around him. "Please, I need help. I can't do this on my own, I need someone to lean on, if I could just take someone's hand, I would have the strength to expel these demons for once and for all," Seven Aces was now almost laying on the ground. "Shut up you fool! I own this body, not you!" Seven Aces was fighting for control.

Saphirra took a step forward. "What's g-going on?" She closed her copper eyes breifly and brushed her light brown hair out of her face. She didn't know what to do. In her confusion, she accidently made a tree fall. it fell inches form Raphael.

"Step away from him, young one! It is not safe for you," Zarya said. "Demon, leave this man be! He has done no harm! Leave him be, leave his body to his own!" Zarya shouted, drawing closer to Seven Aces. Water fell behind her in rivers, disappearing into the ground as soon as it reached it. Her eyes were bright, her voice insistent and in control.
