Saphirra wondered into the forest, heading to her meadow. She gazed upon the tall Oak trees. She walked past one dead one, and stopped to touch it's bark. She closed her copper eyes, and let her power pore into the tree. The Oak tree sucked her power in, and it's leaves grew back, healthy and a vibrant green. The bark regained its natural color, and the tree was alive again.
Saphirra started heading to her meadow again. When she got there, there was a small, silver wolf waiting for her. She pranced over to the wolf and sat beside him. A beam of sunlight shined on her, and her golden skin sparkled faintly. Her light brown hair shined, and her eyes twinkled with happiness.
"Akela." Saphirra whispered. She pet the silver wolf. He looked up at her with his big, chocolate brown eyes. Saphirra has had Akela ever since she was seven. This wolf, was her best friend. She could tell him anything, and she knew he understood her. Saphirra could even almost understand him, or what he was feeling. If Akela was afraid, his fear would soak into her soul and make her fearful. If Akela was sorrowful, her own heart would ache, too. They had a bond together. A bond that no one understood.
Saphirra layed her head on Akela and dozed off...

Raphael slowly walked into the meadow, He held a leaf from the tree that just grew. Raphael gazed upon the scene of little Saphirra, as a father would look upon his child. Raphael looked upon all the children of the tribe of day as if he was there father. Did it have to do with his past?, where he had to take care of orphans when he himself was still a child? Who knew, but he felt content when he saw Saphirra was happy. Raphael slowly walked up and sat beside Akela, gently stroking his silver fur. Raphael whispered seemingly to himself "You've found yourself quite the sleeping spot my little princess."

As Saphirra slept on Akela, she dreamt... She was on a boat, floating across the sea. It was midnight, and pitch-black outside. The furious waves pounded against the side of the boat and splashed on the deck. Saphirra sat in the middle of the deck, helpless and alone.... Somewhere from the raging storm above her the words were said, "You've found yourself quite the sleeping spot my little princess." Saphirra's eyes shot open and she sat up quickly and gasped. "It was only a dream," Saphirra whispered to herself. She then realized Raphael was there. She smiled shyly and blushed. Raphael was the closest thing she ever had to a father.. "Sorry, I was asleep and had a bad dream," Saphirra apologized, although there was no reason to apologize, she just didn't know what else to say.

"No need for apology my princess," Raphael said in a loving tone. "If it was only a dream then let it be just that, a dream, nothing more." Raphael looked up, and through his glasses looked straight at the sun. He sat in silence for a period of time, "you know, it's on days like this that I find myself thinking of my own dreams sometimes."

When Raphael heard that question, the meadow grew dark. The sunshine seemed to stop being able to reach the meadow. "Have you ever seen death?" Raphael said with a hint of sadness in his voice. "It's a tragic thing, no one should have to endure seeing it, and let alone have the torment that comes to them after wards." The meadow become light again, bright and shining like before, maybe even a little brighter. "My dreams aren't important little one, what's important is what was troubling you my fair maiden?"

Akela and Saphirra both could feel the pain behind the words Raphael spoke.. "What was troubling me? Oh, my dream.." Saphirra said.. "I just dreamt that I was on a boat, in the middle of the night while there was a terrible storm. I was alone, and helpless..." Saphirra said, fear behind the words she spoke. She had had this dream often growing up, but she never could figure out why it scared her so much...

"Well," Raphael said looking around, "You're not on a boat, it's not night time," Raphael actually made things just a little brighter, "It's not storming, and you're definitely not alone and helpless." Raphael said with a smile, and a pat on Akela's head. "You shouldn't let that dream bother you, you're in a meadow, it's a bright and shining day, and the weather is that of a fairy tale's! You should be up enjoying life, not sitting fretting over dreams." Raphael looked up into the sky, the sun was almost hitting the horizon. "Now, we should be getting home before dark. Nasty things prowl this forest at night, and I don't care to see them." Raphael said, getting up and extending his hand to help Saphirra up.

Saphirra smiled and took his hand. She pet Akela, and started walking back towards the tribe. She would let a flower grow here and there as she walked back. (Ellen said that once we leave the forest, we have to make a board in the tribe of day and continue it there. so you can do so or I can...)
